Abstract:
The analytical study of literature, the arts and culture poses particular problems of method for all, from beginners to very experienced scholars. This seminar is devoted to theory and interdisciplinary methods. The conceptual premise underlying this discussion is thatinterdisciplinarity lacks the traditional disciplinary paradigms that used to provide obvious methodological tools. Concepts offer a substitute; a methodology that is flexible yet responsible and accountable.
