The book examines the role of pamphlets in 17th-c. Ottoman Empire, highlighting how they transformed communication and sparked debates on various issues. It explores how they invited both educated and less literate people to engage in public discourse. Based on extensive research in Islamic manuscript libraries, the study also reveals how pamphlets contributed to the rise of fake authors and the polarization of society.
