The main goals of OFFISS are:
- to encourage research on social, cultural, intellectual, and gender history of science, technology, and medicine;
- to promote the circulation of work in progress through seminars, conferences, workshops, and publications;
- to support international scholars conducting research and/or teaching at the University of Bologna.
