At the basis of this project is the intention to promote a cycle of interviews/book presentations (in continuity with the activities already promoted in the past by the Pri.MI research group of the Department of Philosophy and Communication) among citizens, education and care workers and to contribute to and support a study day on children’s rights and their violation in collaboration with the Bologna unit of the European network CREAN (Children’s Rights European Academic Network). The meeting will take place in April 2024 and will be held at the University of Bologna. With a distinctly interdisciplinary outlook, the initiatives aim to foster awareness and a more widespread understanding - especially among operators (in the social-political and educational spheres) – of the connection between violence suffered in childhood and violence inflicted in adulthood, and of the seriousness therefore of its long-term consequences for society as a whole.
