Program
In this talk, Catia will present her research through a series of case studies that illustrate how communities can be actively engaged in the collection and interpretation of data. She will show how participatory data collection and visualization approaches have been used to inform communities about issues such as urban accessibility, sustainable mobility, biodiversity and climate change, and wellbeing. The talk will highlight how these systems were designed and evaluated using HCI methodologies, with a particular focus on strategies for involving communities not only in data collection, but also in making sense of complex data.
